Learning about Similes Metaphors and Personification!

Today I'll be showing you what a metaphor a simile and what personification is. I've got a video and the end of my blog post if you don't understand my writing hope you enjoy.  A simile you guys should know but i'm just going to do a couple example anyways if you don't. A simile is a type of sentence that has as or like for example a simile is like this 'the man was as tall as a giraffe' another one is t'he cat was like a rose'.

A metaphor is a type of sentence that has an is in it for example you are the apple of my eye. A personification sentence is a non human thing doing human features for example a tree was waving at me with its leaves.

Today I was learning about negative numbers I'm going to show you some of the basics of negative numbers and put in the slides that I haven't finished yet. We watched a video and we had to write what the video was about -25 is a bigger number than -45 because -25 is closer to 0. There are negative numbers which are like this -25 and there are positive numbers like this 25. 

There are crocodile mouths like this < > = the crocodile mouths goes for the highest which is pretty greedy and if the numbers are them same then you put an = sign. For example 45 > 65 < 65 another is  45 > = < 45 those are my examples.

My 2020 Achievements!

 Hi Bloggers! 

 Today I was using biteable to write all goals before the end of the year and most of them are about learning and making friends. If you don't know what biteable is it is a program that you can make videos but it is just scenes. Also you pick scenes that like little clay people that move by themselves there's also heaps of scenes. I had other decisions like to work on prezi or easily. One of my goals are to have more then 2 friends before the start of the year just more then 2. Another goal I like to add is to learn my 7,8 times tables in maths.

Life Education!

Hi Bloggers! Today I went to a truck trailer and the person inside was Keri and he showed us a giraffe was called Harold the giraffe  he was a puppet. We got to shake our bums at te other people and it was pretty hilarious but not that cool. We were playing 2 games one of them was maori one of them was feelings in english.

The lady made a hello sign for Harold and if you do it both hands Harold will think that he looks like a kangaroo. You can do it by putting your thumb, middle and ring finger together and and the rest makes a hello sign language sign. We got to learn about our bodies and our 3 most important parts are lungs,heart and brain.

The reason why the brain is so important because it sends a message to your arms or legs or somewhere in your body and you move. The reason why the heart is important is because it pumps up oxygen and the lungs makes us breathe in and breathe out.

Harold was kind of shy but he still came out and saw us it was so much fun.

Presenting My Speech!

 Hi Bloggers!

 Today I'll be talking my incredibly amazing speech. I think my speech is very convincing because it is about if was prime minister you should be a good person when you are prime minister. The 3 awesome facts that I planned out was give money to the poor people, work as a team and be kind to all. 

We had to make them into q cards which was kind of hard of me to do because it was my first time making them. But at the end I eventually got the idea and finished it off at the end we cut them. And everytime we read one paragraph we put the note that we red at the back and keep on reading.

At the start when I was planning it was kind of tricky to choose one because first I chose Cybersmart but then I changed my and I swapped to if I was prime minister for a day. When I was writing my speech I it was hard because you only write once a year and only a little words write a lot of writing.

Amazing Speech 2020!

 Hi Readers! Today I'll be showing you my speech. My speech is about if I was Prime minister for a day I would be a good person. I have written 525 words well I think my speech is really convincing. The 3 main facts I did was help poor people, teamwork and be kind to everyone. My time of my speech was 3 minutes and 9 seconds but I only needed to do 2 minutes. It took about 3 days to plan it and 2 days to write my speech. 

At first when we were learning about we learnt that eye contact and personal pronouns are really in speeches. Personal pronouns are a way do describe you and other people for example I, our and us but there are much more than those three. 

I have written 5 paragraphs in my speech they are my introduction, my 3 main facts and my conclusion.  I'm am feeling nervous for presenting my speech because I have to read it to the class or the whole school.

We do speeches to test our knowledge and to see who is the best at writing persuasively . And who has actually been learning and who has not. At the start when we were planning our speeches the teachers gave us some ideas for our speech so we don't have to spend so much time looking for a good speech topic. Here's a little bit of my speech.

Introduction: Hi, What would you do if you were prime minister for a day? I am certain that everyone is going to work together, right. Another way of saying working together is teamwork.

         Conclusion:  So as you can see, you should be a good person when you are Prime Minister.I would allow the amazing students to do whatever they want well, adults too.Thank you for listening to my speech.

Magnificent Maths!

 Hi Bloggers! Today I'll be showing you my maths that I've been doing recently the slides are called comparing fractions. I've been doing fraction, division and multiplication I got stuck on the questions, first I went down to the mat and my teacher taught me, and now I'm a master at it. So I was doing this type of maths that is called finding the fraction of the amount.

So for  example it's denominator and a numerator and a number beside so its like 1/5 of 50. First that you have to do the bottom number the denominator, you have to skip count with your fingers so say how many fives in 50 = 10 and times it by the top number the numerator and that's your answer. If you don't know here's a picture of my work.
