Summer Learning Journey Activity 3!

Hi Bloggers! Welcome to my Summer Learning Journey Activity 3. Today, My activity was about making optical illusions with your camera. First, I had to get device like a phone to take a photo, Next, I put the I told my sister to put the camera as close to the ground I made myself look small and the car look big. Even though the car is small and I am bigger than the car.

Summer Learning Journey Activity 2!

 Hi Bloggers! Welcome to my Summer Learning Journey Activity 2. This activity was called magic maths the first step was to watch the video, then you have to copy the workbook and do what the workbook says. 

 I found it very easy because I am very good at maths, about 5 minutes later I had to ask one of the people that live in my house these questions. I asked my older sister these questions and she said she already knew these questions. You can check the questions on my slides.

 Hi Bloggers. You're probably wondering why I am doing a another blog it is because I am doing the summer learning journey. The reason why I am doing it is because you can win lots of cool prises like chromebooks,drones and so much more. I also want to do it because I don't want to lose my knowledge over the holidays I want to gain knowledge. 

Today, Our Activity was about learning to count to ten in maori and then making a poster or flashcard of practising the maori numbers to 10. Here is mine.

My Last Blog!

 Hi Bloggers! You're probably wondering why the title says My last blog it is because I am moving to another school called Kirkwood Intermediate, and Kirkwood School does not do blog posts and it is nt in the Uru Manuka cluster. We are doing Secret Santa at our and we have to keep it a secret. I really liked this year because my friends and all the activities that we did outside of school. 

It sad that I can't get to see my old friends now

I had loads of fun times at school like camp, NYLD, winter sport, and and so much more I really liked winter sport because I like playing soccer and I know how to play and I am very good at playing soccer. I liked camp because it was my first school camp and the activities were challenging and hard but  I tried my best and never gave up, I also really liked the food.

Perfect Pet Day!

 Hi Bloggers, I know I haven't been posting recently it is because I have been busy because I have been preparing for pet day. Pet day is something we do at our school every year, we do it every year in the middle of term 4. This years pet day was very different because we weren't aloud to bring pets to school on pet day because of Covid 19, also we weren't aloud to bring our parents. 

This year pet day was very different because we did multiple activities the 6 activities that you could choose from in our class was baking a cake/ tasting the cake, sand saucer, floating flower arrangement, leaf art, spring photography, and lego. I chose to do three that is what most people did I chose spring photography, floating flower arrangement, and leaf art. We also grew something a week we grew beans a crest heads we could only pick one.

After when we packed up and finished we went around the classrooms and looked at what everybody did for their classroom, then we came back and did Agri sports, Agri sports was gumboot throwing, duck duck goose, sack races, and so much more. After that it was the end of the day and we had ice blocks for a prize since it was such a hot day. Also Miss Rennell/ my teacher bought her dog to school and it was called Molly. These are some photos that I took on pet day.

Cybersmart Challenge 26 - Create your own images: Google Draw

 Hi Bloggers! Today, I will be talking about the cybersmart challenge i know I haven't been posting these kinds of blogs lately. The cybersmart challenge is to create your own google drawing image on google drawing. The monster is suppose to have 3 toes on each leg and have 6 legs. And it was as tall as a tree. And he was suppose to be sticking his tongue out.

Spring Learning Journey: Activity 1!

 Hi Bloggers, Today I will be talking about the spring learning journey. The spring learning journey is a competition that is holded in the country that your in you can only do it during the holidays. Activity one was about making a timeline about the different transports in different times.

In 4000 BC, Horses and Camels were invented for transport. In 3500 BC, River boats were invented. In 2000 BC, First chariots were built. In 312 BC, Paved roads were made by Romans. In 1044 AD, Compass invented in China. In 1662, First horse-drawn public bus was invented. 

In 1783, First air balloon was launched. In 1801, First Stream road locomotive is run. In 1814, First steam-powered railway train was built by George Stephenson. In 1816, The earliest bicycle was made.

Maori Language Week!

 Sup Bloggers! This week is really cool because it is maori language week! Maori language week is very cool because the people that made are trying to break the world record last year they got one million people doing it and this year they almost hit 2 million. Our class did a haka/waiata called Rona, our whole class did it and we also got some photos of us.

Teaching Session - Share and Care Tuesday!

Sup Bloggers! Today I will be talking about my first teaching session this week, we have to do 2 minimum each week. This is my first one this week and tonight at 11:59 we are going into alert level 2 which is a relief, because we can go back to school and everything back to normal except we still have to keep a comfortable distance away from people that are not in your bubble.

Day 20 Of Lockdown!

Sup Bloggers! I know recently I haven't been posting any blog posts but it is because I didn't have the time I was busy because I went my dad to work. But on Friday last week it was really cool because we got to have someone to visit our meeting she was a author. She said to us that she had a couple jobs she was a , mum, wife, teacher, poet and an author.  

Her two favourite and most important jobs are being a mum and a wife. Also her name is Helen Griffins.

Teaching Session - Thursday Thoughts!

 Sup Bloggers! Today I will be talking what I have been doing this morning. I joined a google meet and played a kahoot, answered questions and learned about animals. I woke up late this morning and I think the meeting started late as well so it was ok and I didn't miss the kahoot. The kahoot was about online distance learning I was in first place at the start then I started to go backwards.

Day 14 Of Lockdown!

 Sup Bloggers! Today I am going to be talking about what I have been doing in lockdown and what I think about lockdown. Yes, this is day 14 of lockdown I have been doing a lot of homeschooling and joining the google meets. The prime minister of NZ said we are going in to level 3 and only some people are going to school most 1% of students are going to school.

Day 10 Of Lockdown!

Sup bloggers, hows it going!

I haven't been doing much being of Covid and Lockdown. I've just been finishing the work, going biking to get some fresh air. I've also been practising my football skills. I learnt how to do a new trick called the Rabona. It's a pretty cool trick, done below is a photo on what it is also some people had got the vaccine for covid.

Day 9 Of Lockdown!

 Sup Bloggers, Today I'll be talking about my experience in lockdown. Ever since lockdown started it has been really really really super duper boring for me and I have nothing to do but I've been doing lots of homeschooling.I would my effort in my work is about 8.5/10 because I don't do all the work that I am given but I get most of it done. 

I would say the work was pretty easy and to write this blog post was simple.

What's Sup Bloggers! Today I will be talking about my day today I woke up extra early and did my daily morning stuff. After I did some homeschooling and I went on the google meet. We played this game called the name game and this is how you play it. We had to email our teacher our word and we see all the words and the people that were playing and try to guess each other.

Day 7 Of Lockdown!

 Sup Bloggers! Today I will be talking about my day. In the morning I went on the google meet and we played would you rather one of the questions was would you rather be able to talk to animals or control the weather. I chose control the weather because then I can play soccer/football whenever I want to say it was raining I can change the weather to sunny and play. 

I also was wearing earphones this time so I could hear better. Then our teacher showed us how to hand in our work, I also did some homeschooling.

This was often very easy.

Day 6 Of Lockdown!

 Sup Bloggers, Today I will be talking about lockdown and online school. Lockdown is not fun especially when you have to talk online, it is way better when you talk in person. I would say online google meets is probably second best because it is like school but you can keep safe from the covid-19 that is going around the world. 

Today, this morning we had our first google meet and it went great ! Our teacher played a game that was like a scavenger hunt. She said random clues for example, she said find some yellow then we can go get a banana or something yellow. It doesn't have to be colors and when you have all the things then you turn your mic on and say BINGO.

Our meeting started at 10 in the morning and ended 11 in the morning. Also the principal joined and some other adults like our teacher.

I think this was really easy because all you did was listen to the person that talking and take turns at talking through the google meet.

Day 3 Of Lockdown!

 Hi Bloggers! I am going to be talking about why New Zealanders should always use the Covid Tracing App. 1. If you are in lockdown and you go to the supermarket or anywhere public then you need track where have been so people know where you got covid. 2. It doesn't even take that it takes basically 5 seconds to scan so it would be good if you scanned one. 

3.  You can download the app on the any kind of tablet, phone or any device except computer and chromebook. 4. It doesn't take that long to download and it doesn't take up that much storage.

Day 2 Of Lockdown!

 Hi Bloggers! Today I will just be talking about lockdown. It basically feels the same as  the first day but the difference is that I did school work at home since we can't go to school. I have just been chilling around and doing my school work and also like going for a bike ride. I also practise my football skills and my shooting, passing and dribbling. 

I also went on my scooter, we were going to have football training but it got canceled sadly.

Cybersmart Challenge!

 Hi Bloggers, Yes, we are still in lockdown also today I will be talking tips for google meets. 1. Always make sure your camera is turned on and your mic is turned on except when it is your turn to talk. 2. Always be kind. 3.b find a quiet spot so nobody hears anything weird and also stay still so your camera stays in one spot. 

4. Always raise your hand to speak and be organised, also always try to be on time.

Day 1 Of Lockdown!

 Hi Bloggers! Today I am going to talk about lockdown in New Zealand. I really don't like it because at school I get to see my friends but at home you can't but, the good thing is that you get to play games. It is Level 4 in New Zealand and we have to keep 2 metre distance from everyone except for your family members or people in your bubble.  

 Lockdown started today at 12:00 in the morning until Friday. Another reason why I like lockdown's that there is online school and you get to talk to each other and see each other  google hangouts.

Epic Book!

 Hi Bloggers! I have not been making blog posts lately, I don't know why and also this my first blog post of the term. Today I am going to be talking about a Epic book, also the most recent book I have read. Epic is a reading program where you can find books and read. There are some books that read and some that don't. I read books about people that wrestle and sport athletes. 

The most recent book I read is called Rey Mysterio, by Blake Markegard. The book talks all about Rey Mysterio, Rey Mysterio is and WWE superstar he is very sneaky in the ring. He does cool moves like backflips and has insane flexibility. Some stuff about is that his weight is 79 kilograms and also 5 feet and 6 inches. 

I like this book because I know lots about WWE and I watch it sometimes, also like how Rey Mysterio always moves around in the ring. I would say this book needs to be 7+ because it shows some violent moves. This is what the front of the book looks like.

Student Summit 2021!

 Hi, I went Hornby Primary School today because we were doing a Student Summit, but it was only the Uru Manuka Cluster that came. We went in a minivan and it was very cramped, also we went to four sessions we went to the Gym twice, the boardroom once and we went to room 5 which is a classroom. 

The other schools were South Hornby School, Wigram Primary School, St Bernadette's, Gilberthorpes and Hornby Primary School. The four things that I chose was Scratch, Wevideo, Boosting Biteable and Canva, My favourite was Biteable because I got to finish mine and it looked cool. Click here to go to the website.

Winter Sport!

 Hi Bloggers! Today I will be talking about Winter Sport I am playing soccer this year I was also playing soccer last year. Last year my first game we won 7-0 and the next we versed Hornby Primary School and we won. My old classmate was Jayden and Lewis they went to that school. We have 13 people on our team, and we drop off Netball players to the court and the soccer players play somewhere else. 

After every session we have a player of the day and I've not got it ever so I hope I get it this year. We are versing Gilberthorpes School.

I think in Winter Sports I should try my best.

Camp Series - Post 3 The Food

 Hi Bloggers, This my Final and last post of this camp series if you haven't seen my another ones go check them out. Today I am going to be talking about camp when I went on camp 2 weeks ago I am going to talk about the food at camp( My favourite food).  My favourite food at camp was the desert the desert was donuts and cupcakes and ice cream. I also liked the afternoon tea biscuits that people brought or baked they tasted good.  

I loved the popcorn and we were watching a movie with it and it was like a movie theater. I almost forgot the pancakes were amazing we made by Hobo Stoves and we ate jam with it. The reason why I liked these 4 things is because they are sweet I eat them a lot and they have lots and tuns of sugar.

I learnt to flip pancakes.

Camp Series - Post 2 My Favourite Activities!

 Hi Bloggers! Today I'm going to tell about how my camp activities were I had a pretty good time and lots of favourite activity these are my Top 3. 

My Top 1 favourite activity was Tree climbing because I had never done it before and I like trying new things. Also I like it because I'm small and there's a lot of small gaps that I can go through and other people can't. And normally I didn't take that long because I didn't take too long figuring out where to go.

My Top 2 favourite activity that we did was raft building because I learnt how to tie a knot then I forgot and we work together and tried our best. Also we got to help each other and we got to win but we actually kind of won because we got in first and one of their people fell the boat. We made our boats out of black floaties, pieces of wood and a stick to pedal and some ropes to tie them all up. Also a life jacket because the water was  deep.  

My Top 3 favourite activity was Archery because it's all about never giving up. I got scared because I thought I was going to shoot someone Luckily the instructor told instructions. And I didn't shoot anyone Mrs Rennell my Teachers put piece of campers cash on the target board and I got it even though it was small. My friend Connor we were both shooting at the same target so our instructor was Timothy and he told us to put a balloon on our target Connor shot it.

I learnt how to tie knots by Leon and then I forgot.

Camp Series - Post 1 My Bunkmates!

 Hi Bloggers! The reason why I haven't been posting blog posts is because I was on camp for 2 nights and 3 days. We went to Waipara Adventure Centre which is a camp that we went to. We had bunkrooms and bunkmates my bunkmates were Brayden, Connor, Kane, Max and Zach and the 2 parent helpers. There were separate bunk rooms boys and girls we had do Boys1 and Boys2 because there was too many boys. All the girls were in one room because there wasn't that much girls. I'm in Boys 1.

The first night it was easy to sleep because in the night we went for a hike and I was tired so I fell asleep easily but no I did not fall asleep quickly. My bunkmates were making noises and fart sounds and being silly and I learnt that Max is messy. I woke took a quick shower and ate breakfast for we ate toast and cereal. I learnt that I can go to sleep quickly even though there's silly sounds.

Hi Bloggers! This morning we completed the Cybersmart Challenge #1 from the Cybersmart Challenge Blog. It was super easy since today we just to learn about Kawa of Care by dragging some words into the sentences to make sence.

Splashing With Swim Safe!

 Hi Bloggers! For the past 2 weeks we have been teached swim safety and our swim safe instructors we got lifejackets and got to bring pajamas and wear them in the pool. We wore our togs then our pajamas on top we did this because we wanted feel how heavy it was going to be.  

When we went on the boat we got lifejackets. We got to get on the then fall back off the boat with life jackets. Then we got to go under the boat to get air and we got jump and start with goggles because we weren't allowed to wear them. 

In this we were because we trying to make by splashing and splashing in 1 directions we got swim in our pajamas. 

 

I have learnt that when get a huddle can get warm.I felt fun because got all sorts like a river and a whirlpool.Next time I want go on the because you get to go the under and on the boat. The thing I will remember the most this is when we got to wear and pool we floated around.
